TDP :: Gamedata and Rawdata Procedure

If you didn't setup your data yet, go to the Setup Procedure.

Update This section describes the procedure to update your local gamedata with the main-branch gamedata on the FTP server.

1) If you have made modifications to your local gamedata since the last update, please backup your gamedata now.

2) Open your favorite FTP client and connect to "castor.gel.usherbrooke.ca" select SSH and port 22. Use the login / password we gave you.

3) Go up one level and go to the "\troydp" directory. This directory contains the latest gamedata.

4) Transfer the files you need from "\troydp" to the corresponding gamedata directory on your local machine. (ex : "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\troydp")

5) If you need to get the main-branch rawdata go to the directory "\troydp_src" and transfer the files on your local machine rawdata directory (ex : "C:\troydp" )

Commit This section describes the procedure to commit your local modifications of the gamedata and/or rawdata to your branch on the FTP server.

1) Open your favorite FTP client and connect to "castor.gel.usherbrooke.ca" select SSH and port 22. Use the login / password we gave you.

2) Your personnal directory contains your work (rawdata and gamedata) for maps, materials and models on the FTP server. You have a write acess in your personnal directory but you can read and copy files from the other's personnal directory.



3) Transfer your modified rawdata files from "C:\troydp" to your personnal directory by FTP. Notify the integrator when your work is done, it will be integrated to the main FTP rawdata / gamedata.
